Quick start¶
Document Overview¶
This section serves as a quick-start guide and Linux system introduction for the Quectel Pi M1/L1 smart single-board computer. It is designed to help you quickly complete unboxing, hardware connection, and system boot after receiving the development board, and smoothly transition into the development environment. Subsequent sections cover everything from hardware specifications to basic system operations, with illustrated guidance throughout.
Document Structure¶
Part One: Quick Start (Essential Reading): Includes two major chapters — “Getting to Know Your Quectel Pi M1/L1 Smart Single-Board Computer” and “First Startup.” These address hardware familiarization and system boot-up, network connection, and running your first Hello World program, respectively.
Part Two: Debian Quick Start (Optional Reading): This quick start guide will require the use of some basic Linux commands. If you are new to Linux or unfamiliar with the Linux command line, it is recommended that you read this chapter first.
Usage Recommendations¶
Hardware Preparation: If this is your first time using the board, please read the Safety Instructions in the “First Startup” section first to avoid hardware damage caused by improper handling.
Choose Your Path: “First Startup” offers two paths — “With External Display” and “Without External Display.” Select the appropriate section based on whether you are connecting a display.
Readers with Linux Experience: If you are familiar with command-line operations and package management tools, you may skip “Debian tutorial” and proceed directly to “Advanced Development Guidance.”
